The Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens

Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens sits on 113 acres in the heart of Griffith Park and boasts an average annual attendance of 1.3 million visitors. Since first opening its doors in 1966, the zoo has grown continuously through the years and presently houses species from every corner of the globe. More than 1,200 animals they live in environments that resemble natural habitats. Many newborn creatures can be seen in the Animal Nursery. Over 78 endangered species are nurtured and preserved there.
